Dr. (Col) Ranga Rao Rangaraju is a distinguished Oncologist, who has served in the medical fraternity and armed forces for almost 30 years. He is currently attached to the Max Super Specialty Hospital in New Delhi where he is Director of Oncology Services and Sr. Consultant of Dept. of Medical Oncology. He is specialized in cancers of Lung, Pleura, Breast, Ovarian, Cervical, Esophagus, Stomach, Small Intestine, Colon, Rectum, Liver, Gall Bladder, Pancreas, Sarcomas, Melanomas, Lymphomas of all types, Brain Tumors, Kidney, Urinary Bladder and Prostate. Dr. Rangaraju’s skills lie in Chemotherapy, Targeted Therapy, Hormonal Therapy, Supportive Care and Palliative Care.
After completing his MBBS and internship, Dr. Rangaraju began his professional career in 1977 when he was commissioned as a permanent officer in the army. After his post-graduation (MD) in 1984, he served as Internal Medicine Specialist for seven years, and then completed his DM in Medical Oncology in 1993. For the next nine years, he was attached to the oncology centers as Medical Oncologist at the armed forces in Pune, Kolkata and Mumbai, after which he was promoted to Colonel.
